Legislator summary

AI generated

The Constitutional Court declared specific articles of a Decree-Law unconstitutional for violating the principle that new laws apply retroactively to past infractions. The Ministry of Public Prosecution challenged a lower court's refusal to apply a newer, more lenient law to existing violations. The court ruled that the old regulations could not block the application of a subsequent, more favorable legal framework.
