The Constitutional Court suspended the constitutional challenge against the amnesties law pending the Supreme Court's definitive ruling on the application of the law. Recurrents A. and others argued the law's validity, while the Ministry of Public Prosecution contended the matter required prior judicial determination of the amnesties' scope. The court decided to halt proceedings because the Supreme Court's application of the amnesties law would decisively influence the fate of the constitutional review.
