The Administrative Court of Finland quashed the police authority's decision denying a passport to a three-year-old child traveling to France for an Erasmus study program. The police had refused the passport because the child's other guardian did not consent and deemed the stay not temporary, but the court found the study period clearly temporary. Consequently, the court ruled that denying the passport was clearly contrary to the child's best interests and remanded the case for reconsideration.

Väitöskirjaa Tampereen yliopistossa valmisteleva lapsen huolttaja

haki passia luonaan asuvalle 3-vuotiaalle lapselleen,
