The Agency Council shall comprise a maximum of seven members.
On the basis of a profile of requirements, the Federal Council shall elect the members of the Agency Council and appoint one of these members as chairperson. The cantons have the right to propose three members.
The election shall be for a term of four years. Re-election is possible for two further terms of office.
Der Institutsrat besteht aus höchstens sieben Mitgliedern.
Der Bundesrat wählt, gestützt auf ein Anforderungsprofil, die Mitglieder des Institutsrats und bestimmt aus diesen die Präsidentin oder den Präsidenten. Die Kantone haben für drei Mitglieder ein Antragsrecht.
Die Wahl erfolgt für eine Amtsdauer von vier Jahren. Eine Wiederwahl ist für zwei weitere Amtsperioden möglich.

Le Conseil fédéral nomme, sur la base d’un profil d’exigences, les membres du conseil de l’institut et désigne parmi eux le président. Les cantons peuvent proposer trois membres.
Les membres sont nommés pour un mandat de quatre ans. Le mandat est renouvelable deux fois.
Il Consiglio dell’Istituto è composto di sette membri al massimo.
Il Consiglio federale nomina, in base a un profilo dei requisiti, i membri del Consiglio dell’Istituto e ne designa il presidente. I Cantoni hanno il diritto di proporre tre membri.
Il mandato dura quattro anni. Può essere rinnovato due volte.
