The MAA and the FOCA coordinate their surveillance activities for installations, air navigation services, and constructions for both civilian and military use, as well as civilian flight operations benefiting military aviation.

They coordinate specifically: a. the consideration, by the authority bearing the main responsibility for surveillance, of the other authority; b. the authorization process for military constructions and installations for civilian use, specifying which supporting documents each agency must provide; c. the processes that the FOCA and the MAA can mutually recognize and the resulting authorizations; d. the mutual consultation of documents; e. the procedure for resolving discrepancies.

Die MAA und das BAZL koordinieren ihre Aufsichtstätigkeiten bei zivil und militärisch genutzten Bauten, Anlagen und Flugsicherungsdiensten und beim Einsatz ziviler Flugbetriebe zugunsten der Militärluftfahrt.

Sie koordinieren insbesondere: a. den Einbezug der jeweils anderen Behörde durch die für die Aufsicht hauptverantwortliche Behörde; b. den Prozess der Freigabe von militärischen Bauten und Anlagen für die zivile Nutzung, einschliesslich der Angabe, welche Stelle dafür welche Nachweise zu erbringen hat; c. die Prozesse, die das BAZL und die MAA gegenseitig anerkennen können, und die sich daraus ergebenden Berechtigungen; d. die gegenseitige Einsicht in Dokumente; e. das Verfahren der Differenzbereinigung.
