When planning federally funded activities, research bodies shall take the following into account: a. the freedom of research, the scientific quality of research and innovation, and the variety of scientific opinions and methods; b. the freedom of teaching and the close relationship between teaching and research; c. scientific integrity and good scientific practice.

When fulfilling their tasks, they encourage: a. the career development of promising young researchers; b. equal opportunities and true gender equality between men and women.

Furthermore, when fulfilling their tasks, they take account of: a. the goals of the sustainable development of society, the economy and the environment; b. international collaboration undertaken by other research bodies and the Confederation.

When encouraging innovation they are attentive to their contribution to competitiveness, value creation and employment in Switzerland.

Die Forschungsorgane beachten bei der Planung ihrer durch Bundesmittel finanzierten Tätigkeit: a. die Freiheit der Forschung, die wissenschaftliche Qualität von Forschung und Innovation sowie die Vielfalt der wissenschaftlichen Meinungen und Methoden; b. die Freiheit der Lehre sowie die enge Verbindung von Lehre und Forschung; c. die wissenschaftliche Integrität und die gute wissenschaftliche Praxis.

Sie fördern bei der Erfüllung ihrer Aufgaben: a. den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs; b. die Chancengleichheit und die tatsächliche Gleichstellung von Mann und Frau.

Sie berücksichtigen bei der Erfüllung ihrer Aufgaben im Weiteren: a. die Ziele einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung von Gesellschaft, Wirtschaft und Umwelt; b. die internationale Zusammenarbeit der anderen Forschungsorgane und des Bundes.

Bei der Förderung der Innovation achten sie zudem auf deren Beitrag zur Wettbewerbsfähigkeit, Wertschöpfung und Beschäftigung in der Schweiz.

Dans la planification des activités financées par la Confédération, les organes de recherche veillent au respect des principes suivants: a. la liberté de la recherche, la qualité scientifique de la recherche et de l’innovation et la diversité des opinions et des méthodes scientifiques; b. la liberté de l’enseignement et le lien étroit entre l’enseignement et la recherche; c. l’intégrité scientifique et les bonnes pratiques scientifiques.

Dans l’accomplissement de leurs tâches, les organes de recherche encouragent: a. la relève scientifique; b. l’égalité des chances et l’égalité de fait entre hommes et femmes.

Dans l’accomplissement de leurs tâches, les organes de recherche tiennent compte en outre des éléments suivants: a. le développement durable de la société, de l’économie et de l’environnement; b. les activités des autres organes de recherche et de la Confédération en matière de coopération internationale.

Dans le cadre de l’encouragement de l’innovation, ils veillent en outre à l’apport de celle-ci en matière de compétitivité, de valeur ajoutée et d’emploi en Suisse.

Nell’adempiere i loro compiti, gli organi di ricerca tengono inoltre conto: a. degli obiettivi di uno sviluppo sostenibile della società, dell’economia e dell’ambiente; b. della cooperazione internazionale degli altri organi di ricerca e della Confederazione.

Nel promuovere l’innovazione, gli organi di ricerca provvedono inoltre affinché questa fornisca un contributo alla competitività, alla creazione di valore aggiunto e all’occupazione in Svizzera.
