The FIS may operate an information system (Quattro P) that is used to identify certain categories of foreign nationals that enter or leave Switzerland and to monitor their entry and exit data.
It contains data obtained at border posts in the course of border and customs checks which may be used to identify the persons and track their travel movements.
FIS employees that are required to identify persons in order to fulfil tasks in accordance with Article 6 have online access to Quattro P.
The Federal Council shall determine in a non-public list the categories of persons to be recorded in Quattro P; in doing so it shall take account of the threat situation at the time.
Der NDB kann ein Informationssystem (Quattro P) betreiben, das der Identifikation von bestimmten Kategorien von ausländischen Personen dient, die in die Schweiz einreisen oder aus der Schweiz ausreisen, und der Feststellung von deren Ein- und Ausreisedaten.
Es enthält Daten, die im Rahmen von Grenz- und Zollkontrollen bei Grenzstellen anfallen und die der Identifikation der Personen und ihrer Reisebewegungen dienen.
Die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter des NDB, die im Zusammenhang mit der ErfĂĽllung von Aufgaben nach Artikel 6 mit der Identifikation von Personen beauftragt sind, haben im Abrufverfahren Zugriff auf Quattro P.
Der Bundesrat legt für Quattro P in einer nicht öffentlichen Liste die Kategorien der zu erfassenden Personen fest; er orientiert sich dabei an der aktuellen Bedrohungslage.

Le Conseil fédéral détermine dans une liste non publique les catégories de personnes à identifier en se fondant sur l’appréciation actuelle de la menace.

I collaboratori del SIC incaricati di identificare persone nel quadro dell’adempimento dei compiti di cui all’articolo 6 hanno accesso a Quattro P mediante procedura di richiamo.
Il Consiglio federale stabilisce, in un elenco non pubblico, le categorie di persone da registrare in Quattro P; al riguardo, si fonda sulla situazione di minaccia del momento.
