After the Council has acknowledged the notifications by the Cantons concerning elections to the Council of States, the newly-elected Council members shall swear the oath or make the solemn promise. Council members who have been directly re-elected are not sworn in again.

All persons present in the chamber and in the gallery shall rise for the swearing-in.

The President shall request the Secretary-General to read out the solemn promise or oath.

Persons swearing the oath raise shall three fingers of their right hand and say the words «I swear»; persons making the solemn promise say the words «I solemnly promise».

Nachdem der Rat von den Mitteilungen der Kantone über die Wahlen in den Ständerat Kenntnis genommen hat, legen die neu gewählten Ratsmitglieder den Eid oder das Gelübde ab. Ratsmitglieder, die ohne Unterbrechung des Mandates wieder gewählt worden sind, werden nicht erneut vereidigt.

Zur Vereidigung erheben sich alle Personen im Ratssaal und auf den Tribünen.

Die Präsidentin oder der Präsident lässt die Eides- oder Gelübdeformel durch die Ratssekretärin oder den Ratssekretär vorlesen.

Wer den Eid ablegt, spricht mit erhobenen Schwurfingern die Worte «Ich schwöre es»; wer das Gelübde ablegt, spricht die Worte «Ich gelobe es».

Une fois que le Conseil des États a pris acte des communications des cantons relatives à l’élection des conseillers aux États, les députés nouvellement élus prêtent serment ou font la promesse solennelle. Les députés qui ont été immédiatement reconduits ne sont pas assermentés à nouveau.

Pour l’assermentation, toutes les personnes présentes dans la salle et dans les tribunes se lèvent.

Le président fait lire par le secrétaire du conseil les formules du serment et de la promesse solennelle.

Le député qui prête serment prononce, en levant trois doigts de la main droite, les mots: «Je le jure», celui qui fait la promesse solennelle, les mots: «Je le promets».

Dopo che la Camera ha preso atto delle comunicazioni dei Cantoni relative all’elezione dei suoi membri, i neoeletti prestano giuramento o promessa solenne. I deputati rieletti senza interruzione del mandato sono dispensati dal giuramento o dalla promessa.

All’atto del giuramento tutti i presenti in aula e sulle tribune si alzano.

Il presidente invita il segretario della Camera a dar lettura della formula di giuramento o promessa solenne.

Chi presta giuramento pronuncia, levando tre dita della mano destra, le parole «lo giuro»; chi presta promessa solenne pronuncia le parole «lo prometto».
