Service providers must submit a declaration to the State Secretariat for Education, Research, and Innovation (SERI) before commencing their professional activity in Switzerland. The Federal Council, based on Art. 7 of Directive 2005/36/EC, regulates the form, content, and frequency of the declaration; it specifies the accompanying documents.

Dienstleistungserbringerinnen und -erbringer müssen dem Staatssekretariat für Bildung, Forschung und Innovation (SBFI) vor der Aufnahme ihrer beruflichen Tätigkeit in der Schweiz Meldung erstatten.
