For fresh beef pieces, it is required to indicate: a. the authorization numbers of the slaughterhouse and the cutting plant; b. the country where the animal was born; c. the country where: 1. the animal spent the major part of its life, or 2. the fattening mainly took place. By derogation from para. 1, the origin of fresh beef can be indicated as follows: "originating from a country other than those of the EU/EEA" or "Origin: originating from a country other than Switzerland" associated with "slaughtered in: (name of the country)", if: a. the meat was produced outside the EU or the EEA and imported into Switzerland for market placement, and b. the information provided by para. 1 is not available.

For fresh pork, mutton, goat, or poultry pieces, it is required to indicate: a. the country where the animal was slaughtered; b. the country where: 1. the animal spent the major part of its life, or 2. the fattening mainly took place. By derogation from para. 3, if it concerns fresh pork, mutton, goat, or poultry, one can indicate "Animal raised outside the EU/EEA" or "Animal raised outside Switzerland" associated with "slaughtered in: (name of the country)", if: a. the meat was produced outside the EU or the EEA and imported into Switzerland for market placement, and b. the information provided in para. 3 is not available.

If the animals were born, raised, and slaughtered in the same country, it may be indicated "Origin: country xy", by derogation to paras. 1, let. b and c, and 3.

Regarding minced meat provided as such, the country of production must be indicated. The country of origin of the meat is only indicated if it differs from the country of production.

Einzelne Stücke von frischem Rindfleisch müssen mit folgenden Angaben versehen werden: a. den Bewilligungsnummern des Schlachtbetriebs und des Zerlegebetriebs; b. dem Land, in dem das Tier geboren wurde; c. dem Land, in dem das Tier: 1. den überwiegenden Teil seines Lebens verbracht hat, oder 2. den überwiegenden Gewichtszuwachs erfahren hat.

In Abweichung von Absatz 3 kann bei frischem Schweine-, Schaf-, Ziegen- und Geflügelfleisch die Angabe «Aufgezogen ausserhalb der EU/EWR» oder «Aufgezogen ausserhalb der Schweiz» in Verbindung mit «geschlachtet in: (Name des Landes)» aufgeführt werden, wenn: a. das Fleisch ausserhalb der EU oder des EWR produziert wurde und für das Inverkehrbringen in der Schweiz eingeführt wird; und b. die in Absatz 3 vorgesehenen Informationen nicht verfügbar sind.

Wurden die Tiere im selben Land geboren, aufgezogen und geschlachtet, so kann in Abweichung von den Absätzen 1 Buchstaben b und c und 3 die Angabe «Herkunft Land X» aufgeführt werden.

Für Hackfleisch, das als solches abgegeben wird, ist das Produktionsland des Hackfleischs anzugeben. Das Herkunftsland des Fleischs ist nur anzugeben, wenn das Land nicht mit dem Produktionsland des Hackfleischs übereinstimmt.

Pour la viande fraîche de porc, de mouton, de chèvre ou de volaille en morceaux, il faut indiquer: a. le pays dans lequel l’animal a été abattu; b. le pays dans lequel: 1. l’animal a passé la majeure partie de son existence, ou 2. l’engraissement a eu lieu principalement.

Par dérogation à l’al. 3, s’il s’agit de viande fraîche de porc, de mouton, de chèvre ou de volaille, on peut indiquer «Animal élevé hors de l’UE/EEE» ou «Animal élevé hors de Suisse» associé à «abattu en: (nom du pays)», si: a. la viande a été produite hors de l’UE ou de l’EEE et importée en Suisse pour être mise sur le marché, et que b. les informations prévues à l’al. 3 ne sont pas disponibles.

Si les animaux sont nés et ont été élevés et abattus dans le même pays, il peut être indiqué «Provenance: pays xy», en dérogation aux al. 1, let. b et c, et 3.

En ce qui concerne la viande hachée remise comme telle, il faut indiquer le pays de production. Le pays de provenance de la viande n’est indiqué que s’il diffère du pays de production.

I singoli pezzi di carne fresca di bovino devono essere accompagnati dalle seguenti indicazioni: a. i numeri di autorizzazione del macello e del laboratorio di sezionamento; b. il Paese in cui l’animale è nato; c. il Paese in cui l’animale: 1. ha trascorso la maggior parte della sua esistenza, o 2. è ingrassato in maggiore misura.

I singoli pezzi di carne fresca di suino, ovino, caprino e pollame devono essere accompagnati dalle seguenti indicazioni: a. il Paese in cui l’animale è stato macellato; b. il Paese in cui l’animale: 1. ha trascorso la maggior parte della sua esistenza, oppure 2. è ingrassato in maggiore misura.

In deroga al capoverso 3, la carne fresca di suino, ovino, caprino e pollame può recare l’indicazione «allevato al di fuori dell’UE/SEE» o «allevato al di fuori della Svizzera» insieme all’indicazione «macellato in: (nome del Paese)» se: a. la carne è stata prodotta al di fuori dell’UE o dello SEE ed è importata in Svizzera per l’immissione sul mercato; e b. le informazioni di cui al capoverso 3 non sono disponibili.

Se gli animali sono nati, allevati e macellati nello stesso Paese, in deroga ai capoversi 1 lettere b e c e 3 può essere riportata l’indicazione «Paese di origine X».

Per la carne macinata venduta come tale è necessario indicare il Paese di produzione della carne macinata. Il Paese di origine della carne deve essere indicato solo se non coincide con quello di produzione della carne macinata.
