1bis. Die Polizei Basel-Landschaft sorgt für die Aufrechterhaltung der öffentlichen Sicherheit und Ordnung im Dienste der Bevölkerung und Behörden.

2. Die Aufgaben der Gemeinden richten sich nach Kapitel 2bis.

2bis. Für Private, die Sicherheitsdienstleistungen erbringen, gelten die Bestimmungen des Kapitels 10.

3. Für die Tätigkeit der Polizei Basel-Landschaft im Bereich der Strafverfolgung gilt die Schweizerische Strafprozessordnung.
