The High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ) dismissed the request for a preliminary ruling submitted by the Cluj Court of Appeal as inadmissible. The dispute centered on whether the Government Decision no. 1,822/2004, which defines workplaces and activities under exceptional or special conditions for police officers, is applicable to local police officers salarized under the Local Police Law no. 155/2010, to determine their working conditions. The court found the referral under Article 521(3) of the Code of Civil Procedure inadmissible, thereby leaving the original jurisdiction to resolve the question without a mandatory higher court interpretation.
