The High Court of Cassation and Justice rejected the request for the transfer (reassignment) of jurisdiction, with the ruling being final and not subject to appeal. The dispute concerned a procedural motion filed by an individual law firm to transfer a pending civil case, identified by a specific case number, from the Baia-Mare Court of First Instance, arguing grounds for reassignment; however, the Public Ministry opposed the request on the grounds that it had become moot because the underlying case had been adjudicated on March 17, 2014. The court dispensed with the transfer based on the factual finding that the procedural prerequisite for such a motion—a pending, unsolved dispute—was no longer met, thereby affirming the representative's conclusion that the request lacked subject matter for judicial intervention.
