The High Court of Cassation and Justice dismissed the Public Prosecutor's opposition and granted the petitioner's application, ordering the transfer (strămutare) of case no. 1419/241/2012 from the Horezu Court to the Craiova Court, with a directive to preserve all procedural acts completed to date; the decision is final and non-appealable. The dispute concerned a procedural request to relocate the venue of an ongoing civil trial, originally scheduled for a hearing in June 2014, likely due to grounds of bias or local pressure within the original jurisdiction. The decisive legal basis was the statutory power of the High Court to grant a transfer of jurisdiction to ensure impartial adjudication, superseding the original court's competence for the continuation of the proceedings.
