Appeal Rejected for Failure to Adhere to Procedural Filing Requirements
Synthèse Legislator
Généré par l'IAThe appellant sought review of a decision from the court of appeal concerning a contentious incident, but the Supreme Court rejected the appeal because the appellant, who was not criminally convicted by the challenged decision, failed to adhere to procedural requirements for the submission of his personal brief; specifically, the brief was not filed with the registry of the court that issued the decision within the ten-day period following the declaration of appeal, nor was it submitted through a lawyer to the Supreme Court, thus rendering the submitted document unable to properly seize the Supreme Court of any arguments it contained, leading to the rejection of the appeal as formally sound otherwise.
