Appeal Inadmissible Against Refusal of Legal Aid Upheld by First President
Synthèse Legislator
Généré par l'IAThe Court of Cassation declared an appeal inadmissible because an order issued by the First President of a Court of Appeal, ruling on an appeal against a decision from the legal aid office concerning the refusal of legal assistance, is explicitly declared as not subject to any further appeal under the relevant statutory provision. The appellant had sought legal aid, was refused, appealed that refusal to the First President who upheld the refusal, and subsequently filed a cassation appeal against that final decision, which the Court found to be an impermissible form of recourse against such an order.
