The Supreme Administrative Court quashed the Lower Administrative Court's decision to uphold the Social and Health Board's child custody ruling due to a procedural error. The lower court had failed to uphold the Board's decision because the father was not heard, despite the Board's justification that he had no contact with the family for over 12 years and his whereabouts were untraceable. The court ruled that the lower court could not rely on the father's absence to invalidate the Board's decision and remanded the case for reconsideration.
