Eläke oli merkitty eläkepäätökseen oikean määräisenä, mutta maksamisessa tapahtuneen virheen vuoksi suoritettu liian suurena. Eläkelaitos oli kirjeellä ilmoittanut eläkkeensaajalle vähentävänsä eläkkeestä tietyn määrän kuukaudessa,kunnes liikaa maksettu eläke olisi tullut perityksi takaisin.
