Tenant lease increase claim dismissed where prior shareholder sale did not grant superior rights.
Legislator summary
AI generatedThe court dismissed the tenant's claim for a lease increase, ruling that the landlord's prior sale of ownership shares to the tenant's family did not automatically transfer superior rights. The landlord argued the original contract bound the new owners, while the tenant sought higher rent based on the new ownership structure. The court held that the initial lease terms remained binding and the new owners could not grant better rights than the landlord previously held.

A vaati AO:ssa B:n asuman huoneiston vuokran korottamista.
C ja D olivat myyneet osakkeet A:lle. B katsoi, että ensiksi solmitun kaupan ehdot sitoivat A:ta.
HO: Ei muutosta.
