Court of Appeal rules hunting ban starts when decision gains legal force, not when originally issued.
Legislator summary
AI generatedThe Court of Appeal in Vaasa ruled that a hunting ban imposed under the Forest Act begins on the date the decision acquires legal force, rather than the original sentencing date. The appellant argued for an earlier start date, but the court rejected this, noting that the minority judge had already dismissed the underlying charge.
