Legislator summary

AI generated

The Administrative Court of Finland allowed the transfer of a minor from voluntary to involuntary psychiatric observation. Although the minor did not verbally express a desire to leave, the court found that concealing medication, refusing treatment, and attempting to walk freely to harm themselves constituted a factual manifestation of a wish to depart. Consequently, the statutory conditions for involuntary treatment under the Mental Health Act were deemed met.
