Administrative court dismissed name change appeal as personal number was not erroneous under population data act.
Legislator summary
AI generatedThe administrative court dismissed the applicant's appeal against the mayor's decision to reject the request to change their personal number. Although the court approved the change of first and last names, it held that the personal number was not erroneous and therefore did not meet the statutory criteria for alteration. The court ruled that without an error in the original number, the applicant's reasons for requesting a change were insufficient to warrant modification.

Kostotoimia pelkäävä henkilö halusi nimensä lisäksi muuttaa
myös henkilötunnuksensa. Maistraatti hyväksyi etunimen muutosilmoituksen
ja sukunimen muutoshakemuksen, mutta hylkäsi
hakemuksen henkilötunnuksen muuttamisesta. Hallinto-oikeus
