Administrative court dismissed extension of water construction deadline due to lack of special force majeure.
Legislator summary
AI generatedThe Administrative Court dismissed the applicant's request to extend the deadline for completing a water construction project. The applicant argued that the lack of state funding constituted a special reason for delay, while the court found the anticipated future state and EU financing did not meet the legal threshold for an exceptional circumstance. Consequently, the court upheld the original decision, ruling that the absence of immediate state funds was not a sufficient special reason to justify extending the statutory time limit.
Legislator headnote
AI generatedVesiL 2 luku 12 §; The court held that the mere absence of state funding, when future financing is reasonably expected, does not constitute a special reason under the Water Act to extend the statutory deadline for project completion.

vesilain tarkoittama erityinen syy hankkeen toteuttamisajan
jatkamiselle.
