Tax court dismisses claim that public transport is cheaper than private car for work commute.
Legislator summary
AI generatedThe Administrative Court dismissed the taxpayer's claim regarding the 1984 tax year, ruling that public transport was not the cheapest option for their commute. The taxpayer argued that a morning train from Hyvinkää to Helsinki, followed by a bus, was less expensive than owning a car for the entire journey. The court determined that when accounting for the late start time, total travel duration, and waiting periods, the private car remained the most economical choice.

Verovuosi 1984.
