Kiinteistö sijaitsi omakotitalojen korttelialueella, joka muodosti naapurikortteleiden kanssa muutamasta osaksi poikkeavasta rakennuksesta huolimatta yhden kokonaisuuden, jolle oli tunnusomaista saman aikakauden rakennustyyli ja puun käyttäminen rakennusten pintamateriaalina. Kortteli kuului myös valtakunnalliseen peruskorjauskokeilualueeseen.
