The Constitutional Court accepted a formal request for a judge to abstain from hearing a specific amparo appeal. The petitioner, a military officer, challenged a Supreme Court ruling regarding his disciplinary case, while the presiding judge cited a judicial law provision as grounds for withdrawal. The court validated the judge's reasoning, ruling that the statutory cause for abstention was justified and definitively removing the judge from the proceedings.
