The Federal Administrative Court granted the defendant's complaint, overturning the lower court's refusal to admit an appeal (Revision), thereby allowing the case to proceed to the appellate level. The dispute concerned a lawsuit under the Freedom of Information Act (IFG), specifically challenging the applicability of exclusion grounds and the scope of the law's informational duties. The Court determined that the case possessed fundamental legal significance pursuant to § 132 Abs. 2 Nr. 1 VwGO because it would provide an opportunity to clarify the prerequisites for the exclusion grounds under §§ 5 and 6 IFG and the scope of application of § 7 Abs. 2 Satz 1 IFG.
