Legislator-Zusammenfassung

KI-generiert

The Federal Constitutional Court refused to accept the constitutional complaint for decision, rendering the decision final and unappealable, as the complaint was deemed inadmissible. The dispute concerned a challenge to the "Tagesschau" mobile application under the 22nd Interstate Treaty on Broadcasting, where the complainant alleged a violation of constitutional rights in light of the new media regulations. The decisive legal basis for the rejection was the failure to meet the specific substantive requirements of § 23 Abs. 1 Satz 2, § 92 BVerfGG; specifically, the complainant did not provide sufficient argumentation to demonstrate that the constitutional complaint remained admissible following the amendment of the telemedia law and the entry into force of the 22nd Interstate Treaty on Broadcasting on May 1, 2019.
