The Federal Court of Criminal Justice partially granted the defendant's revision against a verdict by the Rostock Regional Court, ordering the proceedings for one specific count to be dismissed under § 154 Abs. 2 StPO and modifying the guilt finding to include three counts of aggravated sexual abuse of children, seven counts of sexual abuse of children, one attempted sexual assault, and two counts of producing child pornography. While the dismissal of the dismissed count and its associated one-year and eight-month sentence did not affect the total custodial sentence of three years due to the remaining twelve convictions ranging from six months to two years and six months, the defendant must bear the costs of the rejected portion of the appeal, while the state covers costs for the dismissed part. The case involved a criminal revision challenging the original conviction for multiple sexual offenses against minors, where the court applied § 154 Abs. 2 StPO to cease the minor remaining prosecution.
