The Federal Court of Criminal Justice dismissed the convicted defendant's objection to the cost assessment, upholding the original financial liability and confirming that the objection proceedings are free of court fees with no costs to be borne by the state. The dispute centered on the defendant's attempt to challenge the obligation to bear the legal costs associated with his previously rejected revision of a criminal conviction, which the court characterized as an objection under § 66 Abs. 1 GKG rather than an appeal on the merits. Relying on the principle that cost-bearing obligations are statutory following an unsuccessful revision and citing §§ 66 Abs. 1, 6, and 8 GKG, the court found no legal error in the cost calculation and determined that the defendant's arguments challenging the very duty to pay were unfounded, resulting in the final confirmation of the cost assessment without new cost consequences for the state.

§ 1 Abs. 5, § 66 Abs. 6 GKG) ohne Kostenfolge (vgl. § 66 Abs. 8 GKG) auszusprechen ist.
