Entitlement to wage payment for specific workdays and statutory interest accrual on overdue labor compensation
Legislator-Zusammenfassung
KI-generiertThe Federal Labor Court (BAG) dismissed the employer's revision, partially remanding the appeal court's judgment to uphold the employee's claim for wage payments, ordering the employer to pay 119.77 Euro for a specific day in June 2017 plus an additional 119.77 Euro in gross, with interest, while bearing the costs of the revision. The dispute concerned the entitlement to wages for work performed, specifically challenging the deduction or non-payment of agreed remuneration for a single day of employment. The decisive legal basis involved German labor law principles regarding the contractual obligation to pay wages for work actually performed and the calculation of statutory interest on overdue debts.
