Arrêté fédéral concernant l’initiative populaire «Pour le libre choix du médecin et de l’établissement hospitalier»

du 22 juin 2001

L’Assemblée fédérale de la Confédération suisse, vu l’art. 139, al. 5, de la Constitution1, vu le ch. III de l’arrêté fédéral du 18 décembre 1998 relatif à une mise à jour de la Constitution2, vu l’initiative populaire «Pour le libre choix du médecin et de l’établissement hospitalier» déposée le 23 juin 19973; vu le message du Conseil fédéral du 14 juin 19994, arrête:

Art. 1

1 L’initiative populaire du 23 juin 1997 «Pour le libre choix du médecin et de l’établissement hospitalier» est valable et sera soumise au vote du peuple et des cantons.

2 L’initiative5, adaptée à la Constitution du 18 avril 1999, a la teneur suivante:

La Constitution est complétée comme suit:

Art. 117, al. 3 (nouveau)

3 Dans les domaines maladie et accidents, les assurances de base obligatoires donnent droit aux patients, dans toute la Suisse:

a. au libre choix du médecin et de l’établissement hospitalier;

b. à la couverture des coûts.
