The defendant was charged with a traffic violation for driving in a right-hand curve, drifting excessively to the left, encroaching into the oncoming lane demarcated by a double solid line, and colliding with an oncoming motorcyclist, for which the prosecutor proposed a fine. Despite the accusation, the court acquitted the defendant of the traffic offense after the defense requested acquittal and reimbursement of expenses, resulting in the state bearing the judicial costs and awarding the defendant an indemnity.
