State Employee Employment Settlement and Dismissal of Claims
Sintesi Legislator
Generato dall'IAThe administrative court addressed multiple petitions and an appeal filed by a state employee concerning their employment relationship and a decision by the State Council. The matter concluded when the parties agreed to a settlement during a hearing, wherein the employment relationship was terminated by mutual consent effective July 31, 2004, the State acknowledged valid reasons existed for non-renewal of the contract previously, acknowledged the employee's diligent work, agreed to expunge certain correspondence from official records, and consented to pay the employee a lump sum indemnity of 15,000 to settle all claims. The court reasoned that since the employee accepted the settlement and the State Council ratified the agreement, the proceedings were exhausted and decreed the petitions and appeal stricken from the records without assessment of costs or fees.
