Land Registry Digitization: Seal Placement and Plan Size Requirements

In response to the digitization mandate where all registered contracts are scanned by land registry offices as of October 1, 2008, the supervisory authority issued a directive concerning notarial seals and plans based on $\S 34$ para. 1 of the Notarization Act. The court determined that for copies of notarial deeds submitted to the cantonal land registry offices, the official seal must be placed directly on the text page of the document, and any accompanying plans must not exceed A3 size for submission to those offices.
