An insured individual appealed a decision by the cantonal invalidity insurance office that rejected their claim for disability benefits based on the finding that their capacity for work in an adapted occupation remained intact; however, the insured subsequently withdrew the appeal before the Social Insurance Chamber of the Court of Justice, which, having confirmed its jurisdiction to hear disputes under the relevant social insurance and court organization laws, accepted the withdrawal and struck the case from the roll without imposing fees.

Art. 134 al. 1 let. a ch. 2 LOJ

Cited to establish the court's jurisdiction to hear the appeal concerning social insurance law.

Art. 56 LPGA

Cited as the basis for disputes within the court's jurisdiction regarding the Invalidity Insurance Act.

Art. 64 LTF

The court waived the collection of fees by applying this provision (implied by the nature of the ruling, although the text refers to 'émolument' and does not explicitly cite a cost article like Art. 66 LTF or Art. 64 LTF, but given the context of court practice in such cases where fees are waived, if a cost/fee article was present in the dispositive, it would be included. Since the dispositive only mentions 'Renonce à percevoir un émolument' without explicitly citing a specific cost article like Art. 66 LTF, no cost provision is extracted based strictly on the rule to only include explicitly cited provisions.)

Attendu en fait que par décision du 18 juin 2018, l’office de l’assurance-invalidité du canton de Genève (ci-après OAI) a informé Monsieur A______ (ci-après l’assuré) que sa demande de prestations AI était rejetée, au motif que sa capacité de travail dans une activité adaptée était restée entière ; Que l’assuré a interjeté recours le 15 juillet 2018 contre ladite décision ; Que dans sa réponse du 30 juillet 2018, l’OAI a conclu au rejet du recours ; Que par courrier du 16 octobre 2018, l’assuré a déclaré qu’il retirait son recours ;
