Vu la décision de l'Office cantonal de l'emploi (ci-après OCE) du 5 mars 2008 prononçant l'inaptitude au placement de Madame P__________ dès le 18 octobre 2007;

Vu l'opposition de l'assurée en date du 4 avril 2008;

Vu la décision sur opposition de l'OCE du 8 mai 2008 rejetant l'opposition de l'assurée et confirmant sa décision du 5 mars 2008;

Vu le recours interjeté par l'assurée le 3 juin 2008 concluant à l'annulation de la décision avec suite de frais;

Vu la réponse de l'OCE du 25 juin 2008 concluant au rejet du recours;

Vu l'audience de comparution personnelle des parties du 20 août 2008 au cours de laquelle la recourante a admis que lorsqu'elle s'est inscrite au chômage le 18 octobre 2007, elle ne pouvait pas travailler, vu son état de santé, ce que d'ailleurs la personne qui l'a reçue a constaté;

Vu le courrier de la recourante du 8 octobre 2008 indiquant qu'elle retire son recours;

PAR CES MOTIFS, LE TRIBUNAL CANTONAL DES ASSURANCES SOCIALES

Statuant

1. Prend acte du retrait de la demande.

2. Raye la cause du rôle.

3. Dit que la procédure est gratuite.
