The case involves a legal appeal regarding disability insurance, initiated by an individual against the Disability Insurance Office of a Swiss canton. The appeal was filed after a judgment from the Cantonal Social Insurance Court. The individual sought to contest the lower court's decision, but did not pay the required advance fees within the stipulated deadlines, leading the Federal Tribunal to declare the appeal inadmissible. The tribunal clarified that the appeals process is not free and that the applicant has to cover presumed judicial costs. Despite the inadmissibility, the court decided not to charge any judicial costs due to the particular circumstances of the case.

Sentenza del 27 aprile 2016

II Corte di diritto sociale

Composizione

Giudice federale Parrino, in qualità di giudice unico,

Cancelliera Cometta Rizzi.

Partecipanti al procedimento

A.________,

patrocinata dall'avv. Stefano Romelli,

ricorrente,

contro

108 cpv. 1 lett. a e cpv.
