A legal dispute involved an individual who filed an appeal against a decision made by the Social Security Court of the Canton of St. Gallen regarding supplementary benefits to the AHV/IV (Old Age and Survivors Insurance/Disability Insurance). The appellant was represented by a lawyer and had initially contested the ruling of the Social Insurance Institution of the Canton of St. Gallen. However, the appellant decided to withdraw the complaint that was filed on April 7, 2022, leading to the termination of the proceedings on June 30, 2022, by the Swiss Federal Tribunal's single judge handling social security matters. As a result of the withdrawal, no court costs were imposed.
