Dismissal of Social Assistance Appeal due to Inadmissibility and Lack of Legal Basis.
Legislator-Zusammenfassung
KI-generiertThe case involves a complaint regarding the denial of social welfare and the request for free legal assistance. The complainant challenged a decision made by the Department for Economy, Social Affairs, and the Environment of Basel-Stadt from January 30, 2008, as well as an order from the Presidential Department of Basel-Stadt from April 20, 2009, and a ruling from the Basel-Stadt Appellations Court dated May 11, 2009. The complainant sought a review of these decisions and free legal assistance; however, the court found that the complaint could not be accepted due to procedural reasons, including the absence of proper engagement with the arguments presented by the lower court. Consequently, the requests for a judicial review and for free legal services were ultimately rejected.

Urteil vom 26. Juni 2009
I. sozialrechtliche Abteilung
Besetzung
Bundesrichter Ursprung, Präsident,
Gerichtsschreiber Grünvogel.
Parteien
F.________, Beschwerdeführer,
gegen
1. Departement für Wirtschaft, Soziales und Umwelt Basel-Stadt, 4001 Basel,
2. Appellationsgericht Basel-Stadt, 4051 Basel,
Beschwerdegegner.
Gegenstand
Sozialhilfe (Verweigerung der unentgeltlichen Rechtspflege; Prozessvoraussetzung),
Beschwerde gegen die Verfügung des
Departements für Wirtschaft, Soziales und Umwelt
Basel-Stadt vom 30. Januar 2008,
in Erwägung,
