Legislator-Zusammenfassung

An individual filed a complaint against a decision by the Appellationsgericht of the Canton Basel-Stadt, which had denied their request for legal aid and set a deadline for the payment of an advance on costs. The complainant submitted their critical response to this decision on April 20, 2020, and later managed to pay the required advance within an extended deadline, enabling the continuation of the proceedings. The Swiss Federal Tribunal reviewed correspondence related to the case and was informed by the Appellationsgericht that the complainant had met the financial prerequisites, thus allowing the case to proceed. The Tribunal highlighted the conditions under which legal interest for appeal exists and noted that the risk of non-admission to the appeal due to non-payment of the cost advance had been mitigated by the complainant's compliance.

Beschwerdegegner.

Gegenstand

Sozialhilfe (Prozessvoraussetzung),

in Erwägung,

Art. 93 Abs. 1 lit. a und Abs. 3 BGG ; vgl. Urteil 8C_834/2019 vom 24. Januar 2020),
