Federal Supreme Court Declines Appeal for Lack of Exhaustion of Cantonal Remedies
Legislator-Zusammenfassung
KI-generiertIn this Swiss Federal Tribunal case, the complainant challenged a decision by the Zurich Cantonal Office for Justice, specifically the Probation and Enforcement Services' order to summon them for imprisonment. The decision, dated April 18, 2019, was not final and could be contested with an appeal to the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich. Since the complainant simultaneously sought recourse through the appropriate cantonal authority, the Federal Tribunal declared the complaint inadmissible and opted not to forward the case to the Directorate. The Tribunal also decided not to impose any legal costs on the complainant.
