Appeal Inadmissible Due to Untimely Filing
Legislator-Zusammenfassung
KI-generiertThe case involves an appeal regarding the non-initiation of criminal proceedings for sexual harassment. The appellant contested a decision from a regional court which had ruled on this matter. The crux of the appeal was centered around the timeliness of the filing, as the appellant argued that they received the court's decision later than officially recorded. However, evidence showed that the appellant had personally acknowledged receipt of the decision on the earlier date, leading to the conclusion that the appeal was filed late, and thus, it was decided not to consider the appeal. The court also ruled that the appellant would bear the court costs associated with the case.

Urteil vom 22. Juni 2016
Strafrechtliche Abteilung
Besetzung
Bundesrichter Denys, Präsident,
Gerichtsschreiber C. Monn.
Verfahrensbeteiligte
X.________,
Beschwerdeführerin,
gegen
Oberstaatsanwaltschaft des Kantons Zürich, Florhofgasse 2, 8090 Zürich,
Beschwerdegegnerin.
Gegenstand
Nichtanhandnahme (sexuelle Belästigung),
Beschwerde gegen den Beschluss des Obergerichts des Kantons Zürich, III. Strafkammer, vom 2. Mai 2016.
Der Präsident zieht in Erwägung:
3. Dieses Urteil wird den Parteien und dem Obergericht des Kantons Zürich, III. Strafkammer, schriftlich mitgeteilt.
