A Swiss individual filed an appeal to the Swiss Federal Tribunal against a decision by the Court of Criminal Appeal of the Canton of Vaud, which had been issued on March 14, 2024. The appeal concerned a conviction for traffic violations, specifically for driving a vehicle while intoxicated to a qualifying level. The appellant sent the appeal from France on July 12, 2024, and it arrived at the Swiss postal service on July 13, 2024. However, this submission was beyond the deadline of July 10, 2024, given that the original decision was notified on June 10, 2024, and Swiss legal provisions mandate a 30-day filing period from such notification. This led to the appeal being considered late and subsequently deemed inadmissible by the Tribunal.

Objet

en état d'ébriété avec un taux d'alcool qualifié, etc.;
