Federal Tribunal Dismisses Appeal on Maintenance Obligations Due to Inadmissibility
Legislator-Zusammenfassung
KI-generiertThe case involves a complaint regarding the neglect of maintenance obligations, with the complainant challenging the decision of the State Prosecutor's Office to discontinue the proceedings. The complaint was directed against this decision as well as against two subsequent rulings from the District Court concerning whether the complainant had missed the deadline for an appeal. The court determined that it could only review the issue of the missed deadline, but the complainant did not address this point in their arguments, leading to the conclusion that the complaint did not meet the necessary formal requirements for consideration. Consequently, the court decided not to entertain the complaint and imposed court costs on the complainant, albeit reduced due to their financial situation.

Urteil vom 19. September 2007
Strafrechtliche Abteilung
Besetzung
Bundesrichter Schneider, Präsident,
Gerichtsschreiber Monn.
Parteien
X.________,
Beschwerdeführer,
gegen
Staatsanwaltschaft des Kantons Basel-Stadt, Binningerstrasse 21, Postfach, 4001 Basel.
Gegenstand
