Legislator-Zusammenfassung

KI-generiert

The Swiss Federal Supreme Court declared the appellant's criminal-law appeal inadmissible, upholding the prior cantonal decision against him. The appellant had failed to pay the required CHF 2,000 advance on costs despite receiving a first notice and a second deadline extension, with an explicit warning that non-payment would render the appeal inadmissible. The Court applied Article 62(3) of the Federal Supreme Court Act (LTF), which mandates that a recours is inadmissible if the advance is not paid within the additional time limit, and Article 108(1)(a) LTF for a manifestly inadmissible appeal. The appellant was ordered to bear the judicial costs of CHF 800.

Arrêt du 30 juin 2011

Cour de droit pénal

Composition

M. le Juge Schneider, Juge unique.

Greffière: Mme Gehring.

Participants à la procédure

X.________, représenté par Me Bruno Ledrappier, avocat,

recourant,

contre
