Appeal Inadmissibility Due to Failure to Pay Cost Advance
Legislator-Zusammenfassung
KI-generiertAppeal Inadmissibility Due to Failure to Pay Cost Advance A litigant filed a criminal appeal against an order issued by the Cantonal Court but failed to pay the required cost advance of 1,000 francs despite being summoned twice, first under Article 62(1) LTF and then given an additional deadline until January 30, 2014, with a warning of inadmissibility. The Federal Supreme Court ruled the appeal manifestly inadmissible under Article 62(3) LTF because the litigant did not deposit the necessary cost advance within the given extended period (Article 48(4) LTF), leading to the rejection of the appeal pursuant to Article 108(1)(a) LTF and imposing the judicial costs of 800 francs on the unsuccessful appellant.

Objet
Irrecevabilité formelle du recours en matière pénale,
recours contre l'ordonnance du Tribunal cantonal du canton du Valais, Chambre pénale, du 7 octobre 2013 (P3 13 188).
Considérant en fait et en droit:
1.
