Legislator-Zusammenfassung

KI-generiert

The Swiss Federal Supreme Court declared the appellant's criminal-law appeal inadmissible and ordered the appellant to pay court costs of 800 francs. The appeal challenged a cantonal appellate court decision of 11 April 2014, but the appellant failed to pay the required 800-franc advance on costs despite an initial demand and an additional deadline set by the presiding judge on 3 December 2014, with notice that non-payment would render the appeal inadmissible. The court held that, under Articles 62(1) and 62(3) of the Federal Supreme Court Act (LTF), failure to pay the advance within the extended period makes the appeal manifestly inadmissible, and it applied Article 108(1)(a) LTF to dismiss the case without further proceedings; costs were imposed on the losing appellant under Article 66(1) LTF.

Objet
