In this case, the applicant challenged a judgment rendered by a lower court that ordered them to pay a specific amount plus interest to the other party and concluded that the opposition they filed against a payment order was definitively lifted. The court of appeal found the applicant's subsequent appeal to be inadmissible due to its late submission and insufficient reasoning, falling short of the requirements outlined in the relevant legal codes. Consequently, the appeal was declared inadmissible in a simplified procedure, and the applicant was ordered to bear the judicial costs.

Objet

mainlevée définitive de l'opposition,

recours constitutionnel contre l'arrêt de la Cour de justice du canton de Genève, Chambre civile, du 26 août 2013.

Considérant:

que, par arrêt du 26 août 2013, la Cour de justice du canton de Genève a déclaré irrecevable le recours interjeté par le recourant contre un jugement, rendu le 27 janvier 2011 par le Tribunal de première instance, condamnant l'intéressé à verser à l'intimée la somme de xxxx fr. plus intérêts et prononçant à due concurrence la mainlevée définitive de l'opposition qu'il avait formée au commandement de payer notifié par son adverse partie;

que, pour fonder l'irrecevabilité de l'acte de recours, l'arrêt attaqué retient que celui-ci était tardif et que sa motivation ne satisfaisait nullement aux exigences de l' art. 321 al. 1 CPC ;

que le recours interjeté devant le Tribunal de céans, traité comme un recours constitutionnel subsidiaire (art. 74 al. 1 let. b et al. 2 let. b ; 113 LTF ), ne répond aucunement aux exigences de motivation posées par les art. 116, 117 et 106 al. 2 LTF , le recourant se limitant à solliciter une aide afin d'avoir une chance de se défendre;

que le recours doit ainsi être déclaré irrecevable selon la procédure simplifiée prévue aux art. 117 et 108 al. 1 let. b LTF ;

que les frais judiciaires doivent être mis à la charge du recourant ( art. 66 al. 1 LTF );

par ces motifs, le Président prononce:

1. Le recours est irrecevable.
