Legislator-Zusammenfassung

KI-generiert

The case involves an individual who applied for a residence permit for studies in Switzerland and had their application denied by the Office cantonal de la population in Geneva. The denial was based on the applicant's prior higher education and professional integration, as well as insufficient justification for the necessity of studying in Switzerland. This decision was upheld by the Commission cantonale de recours de police des étrangers. Subsequently, the individual filed a constitutional complaint with the Federal Tribunal, seeking to overturn the commission's decision. However, the court found the complaint to be inadmissible, as the applicant could not cite any legal provisions granting a right to a residence permit or demonstrate how their constitutional rights were violated.

Arrêt du 24 juillet 2007

IIe Cour de droit public

Composition

M. le Juge Hungerbühler, Juge présidant.

Greffier: M. Hugi Yar.

Parties

X.________, recourant,

contre
